PLEASE NOTE!
The Donbas Media Forum 2026 will take place in person in Kyiv. The team has carefully assessed all current security risks and implemented the necessary security measures for the duration of the Forum. A number of mandatory rules will apply throughout the event. They will be sent to participants on the evening of 7 October, together with information about the venue. In particular, these rules include a complete ban on publishing any texts, photos, videos, audio recordings, livestreams, or social media posts about the Forum THROUGHOUT ALL THREE DAYS until 19:00 on 10 October.
We are aware of the heightened threats and the situation in Kyiv that has developed over the past few weeks, and we have taken additional security measures in response. At the same time, we understand that people perceive the situation and the information environment differently. We therefore ask everyone to assess the risks and their own sense of safety regarding participation in the Forum.
The war does not put the challenges facing Ukrainian media on hold — on the contrary, it makes them even more acute. That is why the opportunity to meet, discuss difficult issues, exchange experiences, and work together to find solutions is particularly important today. This is why the Donbas Media Forum 2026 will take place offline in Kyiv.
Check out the full program on the Donbas Media Forum website, plan your activities at the Forum with the security considerations in mind, and register! See you in Kyiv on 8–10 October 2026.
